ARTS SPOTLIGHT: DAUN KENDIG
St. Cloud State University CHRONICLE
In Daun Kendig's class, she's not tht only one who's learning. Kendig, assistant professor of speech communication, believes learning is essential to be able to teach, she said. "Teaching motivates and stimulates me to keep learning," she said. An SCS faculty member for four years, Kendig finds the classroom world is, in some ways, more real than the outside world. She tries not to isolate her classroom from the real world, she said. "The classroom is a place where life goes on." As director of PLA'yers (Performance of Literature Activities), Kendig finds students "brilliantly naive," she said. "Students ask questions that make you see the wort' in a whole new light." |
